What is ferromagnetic material and why is it important for magnetic signs?
Magnets will only stick to a ferrous metal, e.g., iron, which creates a magnetic field. Aluminium is not magnetic in its pure state, but sometimes manufacturers add iron or steel to make it ferromagnetic. This is key for the sign’s magnetic properties, ensuring a strong and secure attachment. Check your surface before ordering.
How do I attach a magnetic sign to my van?
When in close range, the magnet sign will simply bind to the metal surface of your vehicle. For a strong hold, clean the surface to make sure it’s free from dirt, dust, and any other debris. To prevent damage to the paintwork, remove the magnetic sign periodically and clean both the sign and the vehicle. This will ensure that the magnetic bond remains strong and that the sign remains in good condition.
