FAQs
A window sticker is an adhesive-backed graphic designed for decorative or informational purposes on glass surfaces. Made from high-quality vinyl, it provides a clear, vibrant display while allowing natural light to pass through. Window clings are perfect for storefront branding, seasonal promotions, or privacy screening.
Clear (Removable): A transparent, non-adhesive vinyl that clings with static and can be easily removed, offering a temporary, see-through display for windows.
White (Removable): A solid, white vinyl that can be peeled off easily, ideal for temporary and vibrant window displays. Available only in a forward-printed configuration.
Clear (Permanent): A durable, transparent vinyl that adheres strongly for long-lasting, see-through window graphics.
White (Permanent): A solid, white window vinyl with strong adhesion, designed for enduring and bold graphics. Available only in a forward-printed configuration.
Forward printed: The design is printed on the front side of the vinyl, intended to be viewed directly.
Reverse printed: The design is printed on the back side of the vinyl, allowing it to be viewed correctly through a transparent surface like glass.
White ink is selectively applied to transparent vinyl window stickers as a base layer, enhancing colour vibrancy and opacity. Three application methods are available:
Selective white: Applies a white layer to selected elements, leaving the remaining areas transparent.
Full white: Provides a uniform, white layer that completely covers underlying surfaces.
No white: Keeps the design fully transparent, so the background shows through the artwork.
To set up your white ink file for printing on window stickers, first create a spot colour named "White" in your design software, setting it to 100% Cyan. Then, duplicate any elements where you want white ink applied, and assign the "White" spot colour to these duplicated elements. Set these elements to "Overprint" to ensure the white ink prints on top of existing colours or directly on clear areas.
Lamination: Enhances your materials with a protective coating, available in matt for a smooth, non-reflective surface, gloss for a vibrant shine, or dry wipe for easy writing and erasing.
Square corner: Standard cut with crisp, clean, right-angled edges for a classic and professional finish.
Cut to shape: Custom cut that delivers unique contours and angles, creating a one-of-a-kind, distinctive look. Cut path required on artwork.
The turnaround time for window stickers depends on your chosen product specification and finishing options. For faster delivery, we offer express production upgrades at an additional cost. To ensure your order is delivered on time, it is important we receive your artwork by the cut-off time indicated on both the product page and basket.
Please note: If your file is submitted after the cut-off time or if corrected artwork isn't provided before the next cut-off time following rejection, it will delay delivery by one working day.
We offer free standard delivery, with optional upgrades available for expedited service, including pre-10:30 AM and pre-12:00 PM for an additional cost.
Uploading artwork for window stickers is easy. After placing your order, click the upload button on the confirmation page. You can also upload your artwork through the Orders tab of "My Account."
All orders will be packaged and shipped in boxes as standard. For larger orders, boxes may be secured and shipped on pallets; you'll be notified at checkout if this applies. If your delivery address is inaccessible to a tail lift truck, please contact us to discuss alternative delivery arrangements.
Design guidelines
To make artwork setup simple, we recommend downloading the relevant product template from our templates section. Don’t forget to delete the template layer before exporting your design to PDF.
For best printing results, ensure your artwork and images are CMYK. If you use RGB, Pantone or spot colours in any element of your artwork, we will automatically convert them to CMYK which may change your colour profile.
To eliminate any font issues, make sure all fonts are ‘embedded’ or ‘converted to outlines’ before creating your PDF print file. To ensure legibility, we recommend using a minimum font size of 10pt.
For optimal image print quality, ensure all images are 300dpi to 450dpi. Anything lower than 300dpi will give poor image quality. Images higher than 450dpi will result in high file sizes and may cause longer upload times.
To avoid alignment issues during cutting, be sure to include ‘crop marks’ (offset 10mm) and ‘document bleed’ when exporting your artwork file to PDF. Refer to our product templates for the required bleed specifications.
To meet our print requirements, ensure your file is exported in Adobe PDF (Print) format, ideally as PDF/X-1a: 2001.
