FAQs
Correx®, sometimes spelt Corex, is a versatile, cost-effective signage solution made from a durable, lightweight plastic material. It features a robust, weather-resistant surface that makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. Perfect for high-visibility applications, Correx® boards are excellent for retail promotions, event signage, and temporary displays.
Correx®: This material offers a lightweight, durable surface with various thicknesses, making it ideal for versatile indoor and outdoor applications.
Lamination: Enhances your materials with a protective coating, available in matt for a smooth, non-reflective surface, gloss for a vibrant shine, or dry wipe for easy writing and erasing.
Drill holes: Provides easy mounting for Correx boards, with options for either 2 holes in the top corners (one in each) or 4 holes, one in each of the four corners.
Drill holes are a standard size of 5mm and applied to your artwork automatically. If you prefer a different drill hole size, please select our "cut to shape" option and mark the desired drill holes on your artwork using a spot colour labelled "CUT."
Square corner: Standard cut with crisp, clean, right-angled edges for a classic and professional finish.
Round corner: Custom cut that softens each of the four corners of the Correx board with a smooth, 10mm curved finish.
Cut to shape: Custom cut that delivers unique contours and angles, creating a one-of-a-kind, distinctive look. Cut path required on artwork.
The turnaround time for Correx signage depends on your chosen product specification and finishing options. For faster delivery, we offer express production upgrades at an additional cost. To ensure your order is delivered on time, it is essential we receive artwork for your printed Correx signs by the cut-off time indicated on both the product page and basket.
Please note: If your file is submitted after the cut-off time or if corrected artwork isn't provided before the next cut-off time following rejection, it will delay delivery by one working day.
We offer free standard delivery, with optional upgrades available for expedited service, including pre-10:30 AM and pre-12:00 PM for an additional cost.
Uploading artwork for Correx boards is easy. After placing your order, click the upload button on the confirmation page. You can also upload your artwork through the Orders tab of "My Account."
All orders will be packaged and shipped in boxes as standard. For larger orders, boxes may be secured and shipped on pallets; you’ll be notified at checkout if this applies. If your delivery address is inaccessible to a tail lift truck, please contact us to discuss alternative delivery arrangements.
Design guidelines
To make artwork setup simple, we recommend downloading the relevant product template from our templates section. Don’t forget to delete the template layer before exporting your design to PDF.
For best printing results, ensure your artwork and images are CMYK. If you use RGB, Pantone or spot colours in any element of your artwork, we will automatically convert them to CMYK which may change your colour profile.
To eliminate any font issues, make sure all fonts are ‘embedded’ or ‘converted to outlines’ before creating your PDF print file. To ensure legibility, we recommend using a minimum font size of 10pt.
For optimal image print quality, ensure all images are 300dpi to 450dpi. Anything lower than 300dpi will give poor image quality. Images higher than 450dpi will result in high file sizes and may cause longer upload times.
To avoid alignment issues during cutting, be sure to include ‘crop marks’ (offset 10mm) and ‘document bleed’ when exporting your artwork file to PDF. Refer to our product templates for the required bleed specifications.
To meet our print requirements, ensure your file is exported in Adobe PDF (Print) format, ideally as PDF/X-1a: 2001.
