If you've ever heard people talk about DPI for printing and thought, "What's that then?" You're in the right place. Today, I'll explain what it means and how to make sure your Canva designs print sharp, clear, and professional.

So, what is DPI? It stands for dots per inch, and it's all about how much detail is packed into your printed image. The higher the DPI, the sharper your print will look. The magic number is 300 DPI. That's the sweet spot for crisp lines, rich colours, and a polished finish. Anything lower, like 72 dpi, is really just for screens, not print. Here's how to get it right in Canva.

Use high resolution images to start with. Then go to download, select PDF print, and tick crop marks and bleed. Avoid downloading as PNG or JPEG because they export at around 96 dpi, which isn't sharp enough for print. Once you've uploaded your PDF print file, we'll make the magic happen.
