Design guidelines
To make artwork setup simple, download the relevant template from the Production templates section above. Follow the instructions provided and remember to remove the 'Guide' layer before exporting your artwork as a PDF.
For the best printing results, ensure your artwork and images are in CMYK. If you use RGB, Pantone or spot colours, these will be converted to CMYK during production, which may affect how your colours appear in print.
To avoid font issues, make sure all fonts are embedded or converted to outlines before exporting your PDF. For readability, we recommend using a minimum font size of 10pt.
For the best print quality, aim for images between 300dpi and 450dpi at their final print size. Lower resolutions may appear blurry or pixelated, while higher resolutions can increase file sizes. Check product template for any specific requirements.
To avoid alignment issues during cutting, include crop marks with a 10mm offset and document bleed when exporting your artwork as a PDF. Refer to the relevant product template for the required bleed specifications, as these vary by product.
All artwork must be supplied as a print ready PDF. We recommend exporting in Adobe PDF (Print) format, ideally using the PDF/X 1a:2001 standard.

Once your design is complete, download it as a PDF Print file and return to our website to place your order and upload your artwork. Remember to remove any guide layers before exporting.

Wiro binding holds punched pages together with metal wire, allowing the book to lie flat when open and the pages to turn fully back. Our wiro bound books use white wire binding and are well suited to manuals, workbooks, planners and presentations.
If you’re looking for spiral bound book printing, this format offers the practical page turning and flat opening useful for reading, writing and following instructions.
Choose between 6 and 340 pages, including four cover pages, in multiples of two. Count each side of a sheet as one page, then include the front cover, inside front cover, inside back cover and back cover.
For example, 40 inner pages plus four cover pages makes a 44 page book. The optional clear acetate front cover is added separately and should not be included in your page count.
Choose A4, A5 or A6 in portrait or landscape orientation. Custom sizes are available from 105 x 148mm up to 297 x 297mm.
Select your finished size, orientation and binding position before preparing your artwork so the layout matches how your book will open.
Choose Left Edge for pages that turn sideways, like a conventional book. Choose Top Edge for pages that flip upwards, which can suit reference documents, workbooks and presentation materials.

Yes. Select Full Colour or Black Only separately for the cover and inner pages. You can combine a colourful cover with black only text inside, or choose full colour throughout for photographs, diagrams and illustrations.
Lamination adds a protective finish to your printed cover. Choose matt for less reflection, gloss for a shiny appearance or soft touch for a velvety feel.
A clear acetate cover is a separate transparent sheet added to the front of the book, protecting the printed front cover while keeping its design visible. It is not added to the back and does not count towards your ordered page total.
Supply one PDF containing individual pages in reading order: front cover, inside front cover, all inner pages, inside back cover and back cover. This applies even when you choose different papers for the cover and inner pages.
