Introducing WTTB's Book Super Centre

THE UK’s top digital print platform is using the most romantic day of the year to share the love, along with announcing an exciting new development.

WTTB has seen its share of the book print market grow massively in recent years, thanks to its ability to print both hardback and softcover publications, in a huge range of sizes.

And now to build on that strong market share, the company has unveiled its Book Super Centre on Valentine’s Day.

The Book Super Centre will offer a huge range of printing solutions, with thread sewn and open spine lay flat books about to be added to the existing options available. This will be further boosted by new finishes such as dust jackets, head and tail bands and coloured bookmark ribbons, to enhance the finished products.

Scodix and foiling options will also be available for some books, with WTTB now also able to produce longer runs on saddle stitched books and PUR.

The addition of lay flat books, which means that photographs and pictures can be used to full effect across two pages of any publication, is a result of further investment by the company at the end of 2021.

The investment in MitaBlock Pro from dig IBook technology means that this hotmelt technology offers a four time faster SLA process by removing drying and clamping.

These new options follow on from the recent announcement that specialists, Cliftons Bookbinders, has been brought into the company and are now operating from WTTB Dagenham’s site, adding their expertise to the book printing side of the business.

Gary Peeling, CEO of WTTB, believes this is a very important move for the company. “The book printing side of the business is a high growth area for us and we have seen it perform strongly in recent years,” he said. “It made perfect sense for us to invest and to enhance this offering to put us in an ever stronger position going forward.”
