What paper sizes are best for brochures?

When presenting marketing collateral, standard A4 (210x297mm) is always a popular option. For something more cost-effective, half size A5 (148x210mm) an affordable alternative. If you're looking to stand out, an unconventional, custom-sized brochure will make the reader take notice of your publication.

Which paper stocks do you recommend?

If you're looking for a great quality brochure, 300-350gsm covers create a strong first impression. Keep your reader engaged throughout by printing the inner text pages on a 170gsm or 250gsm stock for higher-end publications.

What is binding and what type is best for my project?

Binding is a method used to hold pages together. Common types of binding include stitching and wiro binding, great for brochures and planners. Higher-end techniques such as perfect binding and case binding are well suited to catalogues, yearbooks and photobooks.

What is the difference between litho and digital printing?

Litho printing is a traditional method of printing, using plates and cylinders to transfer images to paper. Digital printing is a newer process using computing to translate the image onto the paper with toners. Due to speed, digital printing is more suited for shorter runs while litho printing is more cost-effective for longer runs.

What makes a good quality brochure?
