WTTB has launched its new Print API, giving businesses, resellers and organisations a new way to connect their own platforms or systems directly with WTTB for print production and fulfilment.
Following a successful soft launch, the API has already generated strong interest from businesses looking to automate more of the print ordering process and build print into their existing services, systems and workflows.
Once integrated, orders and artwork information can be sent directly to WTTB for production, with finished products dispatched to the required delivery address in white label packaging.
This allows businesses to keep their own website, branding, pricing and customer relationships at the centre of the experience, while WTTB handles print production and fulfilment behind the scenes.
Feedback from customers involved in the soft launch has highlighted the breadth of products available through the WTTB Print API. With access to more than 140 print products through a single integration, businesses can choose to introduce specific product lines or build a much broader print offering.
For businesses already selling print, that can create opportunities to expand into new product categories without investing in additional production equipment or capacity.
Michael Bartlett, Head of Operations at WTTB, said the response since the API was introduced has exceeded expectations.
“The response we’ve had so far has been really encouraging,” he said.
“I’ve spoken to a number of customers since we introduced the API and one of the things that keeps coming up is the breadth of the product range.
“Being able to access more than 140 WTTB products through a single integration gives our customers a huge amount of flexibility in what they can offer through their own platforms.
“What’s particularly encouraging is that customers can immediately see the commercial opportunity. They can potentially broaden their product offering without having to invest in additional production capability, while keeping control of their own platform, pricing, brand and customer relationship.
“We’ve also had some really positive feedback around the integration itself and the support behind it. The number and quality of conversations we’ve had from what was deliberately a fairly soft launch has probably been the most encouraging thing of all.”
The WTTB Print API is designed to connect with an existing platform or system, including websites, online portals and custom applications. Integration does require development work, so businesses will need access to a developer or technical team with backend experience to build the connection using the API documentation provided.
This gives businesses the flexibility to build the API into their existing setup and decide how print products are ordered, managed, presented or sold through their platform.
A sandbox environment is also available, giving developers a space to build and test the integration before processing live orders. This allows the connection, order information and artwork flow to be tested as part of the development process.
Once connected, orders and artwork information can be passed through to WTTB for production and fulfilment, while the business continues to manage its own platform, branding, pricing and customer relationships.
The result is a print fulfilment setup that works behind the scenes, allowing businesses to add, expand or automate print without disrupting the systems, processes or customer experience they already have in place.
The launch gives businesses more flexibility in how they access and use print, whether that means adding new products, expanding an existing range or building print into a wider service or workflow.
With access to more than 140 products through a single integration, businesses can introduce new print categories, broaden what they already offer or connect print production to their existing systems and processes.
Production and white label fulfilment are handled by WTTB, allowing businesses to focus on their own customers, services and operations without needing to invest in print equipment or bring production in house.
They also retain control of the parts of the experience that matter to them, including their platform, pricing, product selection, branding and customer relationships, while WTTB handles production and fulfilment behind the scenes.
Whether print is being sold directly to customers or used as part of a wider service, the API creates a more connected way to build print into existing platforms and systems.
The WTTB Print API is now available for businesses looking to integrate print production and fulfilment into the way they already work.
