What is bubble board used for in printing and signage?
Bubble Board is used for lightweight rigid signs, retail point-of-sale displays, exhibition panels, event signage and life-size cutouts where you want a clean finish and easy handling.
Can bubble board be used outdoors and how long does it last?
It can be used outdoors for short term signage, but it is not the best choice for long-term outdoor installations. For longer outdoor life, Dibond aluminium boards is usually more suitable.
Is Bubble Board waterproof and weather resistant?
It is waterproof and handles damp environments well, but weather exposure like strong sun and wind can still affect lifespan and fixing strength over time.
Can Bubble Board be cut to shape for cutouts and standees?
Yes. It can be cut to custom shapes and is commonly used for life size cutouts and display shapes because it is light, but rigid.
Is Bubble Board recyclable?
It is polypropylene plastic and is recyclable where facilities accept 5 PP plastic types.
What thickness is Bubble Board for signage?
Bubble Board signage is commonly produced at 3mm thickness, which balances rigidity and weight for most display uses.

Bubble board is a lightweight, rigid plastic display board designed as a durable alternative to corrugated plastic and foam boards. It features a unique internal bubble structure, giving it improved rigidity and a smoother surface while remaining easy to handle and install. Bubble board is commonly used for signage, displays and promotional graphics where strength, cleanliness and water resistance are important.
Bubble board is made from polypropylene (PP) plastic, with smooth outer skins and a closed bubble core, rather than a fluted structure. WTTB bubble board is available in 3 mm with a white printable surface. This construction gives improved stiffness compared to standard fluted boards while staying lightweight.
Waterproof and durable. Bubble Board is waterproof and suitable for humid or splash-prone environments.
Recyclable. Made from polypropylene and classified under the "5 PP" recycling symbol, Bubble Board is recyclable where suitable facilities exist.
Low-maintenance surface. The non-porous surface is easy to wipe clean and does not shed fibres, making it suitable for retail and public environments.
It produces clear graphics with strong colour and a smooth professional finish. It works best with bold branding and text-led layouts, making it ideal for commercial displays.
Bubble Board works well if you are after a lightweight, cost-effective solution for short to medium-term use. If you need a premium rigid sign with a long outdoor lifespan, Dibond® may be more suitable. For fully paper-based displays, Honeycomb Boards are a better alternative.
