Design guidelines
To make artwork setup simple, download the relevant template from the Production templates section above. Follow the instructions provided and remember to remove the 'Guide' layer before exporting your artwork as a PDF.
For the best printing results, ensure your artwork and images are in CMYK. If you use RGB, Pantone or spot colours, these will be converted to CMYK during production, which may affect how your colours appear in print.
To avoid font issues, make sure all fonts are embedded or converted to outlines before exporting your PDF. For readability, we recommend using a minimum font size of 10pt.
For the best print quality, aim for images between 300dpi and 450dpi at their final print size. Lower resolutions may appear blurry or pixelated, while higher resolutions can increase file sizes. Check product template for any specific requirements.
To avoid alignment issues during cutting, include crop marks with a 10mm offset and document bleed when exporting your artwork as a PDF. Refer to the relevant product template for the required bleed specifications, as these vary by product.
All artwork must be supplied as a print ready PDF. We recommend exporting in Adobe PDF (Print) format, ideally using the PDF/X 1a:2001 standard.

Once your design is complete, download it as a PDF Print file and return to our website to place your order and upload your artwork. Remember to remove any guide layers before exporting.

Our outdoor banners are printed on 440gsm PVC, a flexible, waterproof vinyl material suitable for promotional banners, events and outdoor advertising.
For exposed locations where wind can put pressure on a solid banner, consider our mesh banners. Their perforated material allows air to pass through, reducing wind resistance. The lifespan of either option depends on weather conditions, positioning and how it’s installed.
Standard sizes are 2000 x 1000mm, 3000 x 1000mm, 4000 x 1000mm and 5000 x 1000mm. Custom outdoor banners are available from 200 x 200mm up to 20000 x 3000mm.
Circular PVC banners are available through our Bespoke service. Hemming and eyelets aren’t available on circular banners.
Hemming reinforces the edges of your banner, helping them withstand the strain of hanging and regular outdoor use. We recommend it for outdoor PVC banners, particularly when using eyelets.
Choose no hemming if you need a trimmed edge without reinforcement. Hemming and eyelets are separate options, so select both if you require reinforced edges and fixing points.
Choose eyelets spaced 600mm apart around the edges, including the corners, or select Corners Only. You can also choose None if your installation doesn’t require eyelets.

Use the eyelets to attach your banner to a suitable frame, fence or supporting structure. Secure it evenly across the available fixing points to spread the load, without pulling it excessively tight.
Bungee cords are available to order separately and aren’t included with your banner. Check the banner and fixings regularly, and take it down during severe weather to help prevent damage.
Keep important text, logos and other essential details at least 50mm inside the finished banner edges. This helps prevent them being affected by eyelets and finishing.
Background colours and images should extend to the bleed line shown in the template. The 50mm safe area is for important content, so you don’t need to leave a white border.
Yes. Use Versions to order different designs with the same size, material and finishing options. Enter the number of designs under Versions and the number of copies needed for each under Quantity Per Version.
For example, three versions with a quantity of two per version gives you six banners in total. Be sure to supply separate artwork for each design.
Clean your printed PVC banner with mild soap and water using a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners or brushes, then rinse with clean water and allow it to dry completely.
Roll the banner for storage rather than folding it to help prevent creases. Store it somewhere clean and dry, away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
Turnaround times depend on your chosen product specifications and finishing options. For faster delivery, we offer express production upgrades at an additional cost.
