Frequently Asked Questions

No question is too big or small for WTTB. We understand that placing a print order online for the first time can be tricky, but we're here to help. If the below FAQs don’t provide the answer you need, get in touch via live chat or telephone. We love speaking to people, so don't be shy.

What is a saddle stitched book?

During production, the pages are drawn together and draped over a saddle-like instrument before it’s stapled and folded, giving this binding method its name. This type of binding is commonly used for magazines, catalogues, brochures and small booklets. This binding is easy to flip open and has a professional appearance.

What is the difference between digital and litho books?

The main difference between digital and litho books lies in the printing process. Litho books are printed using offset printing, a method that involves transferring ink from a metal plate to a rubber blanket and then onto the paper. Digital books are produced using digital printing technology, which directly prints from a digital file without the need for plates.

What size books can I print?

We offer a variety of standard sizes, including A4 and A5.

How many pages can I print in my book?

Stitched books can accommodate up to 68 printed pages. If looking to print more than this, opt for our perfect bound book option.

Are saddle stitched booklets recyclable?

Yes, but it’s important to remove the staples before recycling. These can be recycled separately.
